Alternatives Capital Markets & Strategy (ACMS) is a firmwide group established in 2019 to oversee all institutional capital markets, capital raising, and strategy for alternative investments throughout Goldman Sachs. Engaging with both Goldman Sachs’ proprietary direct-investing programs and external managers’ open-architecture strategies, the ACMS Group centrally manages capital raising for all alternatives products and portfolio solutions for all institutional investors in alternatives, across private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity, secondaries, GP stakes, impact investing, and absolute-return strategies.
Within ACMS, team members work within product verticals but also collaborate across strategies, to share best practices and identify portfolio-wide solutions in partnership with the ACMS Client Strategy Teams. Professional development initiatives are managed centrally across the entire ACMS Group, with regular opportunities to enhance expertise across all alternative investment products, and to sharpen market knowledge from industry experts investing across the Firm.
The Private Credit Product Strategy Team within ACMS is responsible for capital raising and investor relations for all of the firm’s direct private credit strategies globally, including our senior credit, asset finance, mezzanine and hybrid capital fund franchises. The platform consists of over 165 dedicated private credit professionals across 13 cities and 7 countries, with approximately $100 billion of assets under management. The Private Credit Product Strategy Team works closely with the ACMS Capital Markets, Research and Client Strategy teams, as well as the Private Credit Investment Team and Fund Management Teams on all aspects of fundraising and investor relations. The Private Credit Product Strategy Team also works closely with the firm’s institutional, retail and private wealth distribution channels across a broad range of new and existing private credit funds, separately managed accounts and co-investments.
Qualifications:
- Strong quantitative, writing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to multi-task, with an ability to manage multiple projects with different deadlines.
- Strong organizational and project management skills and detail orientation.
- Advanced facility with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- High degree of intellectual curiosity on alternative investing strategies, particularly the private markets.
- Prior private equity or private credit investing, capital markets, investment banking or investor relations experience is an asset.
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $90000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
