Description
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the Aging and Disabilities Program to include program development, budgeting, quality assurance, networking, collaboration and staff supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Manages the full spectrum of program services, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, grant requirements, and implementation of best practices, including all forms of documentation, and consistent review/improvement of services/processes.
• Responsible for developing and monitoring quality standards for chart audits, collection and reporting for COA identified indicators for quality of service and collecting program data and preparing reports for stakeholders.
• Monitor client and stakeholder satisfaction in each area of service.
• Develops program policies and procedures by incorporating appropriate standards and regulations and monitors programs to ensure policies and procedures for implemented.
• Manages and directs employees, ensuring employee management meets agency minimum requirements for job evaluation, problem solving, and discipline. Ensure that employee training meets accreditation standards and funding requirements.
• Maintains positive relationships with agency partners.
• Assists in interviewing potential guardianship candidates.
• Participate in program development to include preparation and oversight of grants, contracts, and Requests for Proposals (RFP) as needed for funding.
• Assists with the coordination of social work students and interns.
• Responsible for promoting and growing Aging and Disability Services and the development of marketing plan.
• Participates in budget process with the Director of Behavioral Health and Disability Services and the Finance Department. Monitors and adheres to established budget.
• Reviews financial statements with supervisor.
• Manages aging reports and work with external partners to collect outstanding payments.
• Develop training for community groups on the guardianship services.
• Complete reports and statistical analysis of activities as required by the agency. Assist with requests for data and reporting, to ensure compliance with grants and funding agency requirements.
• Promotes staff professional growth through established training requirements.
• Promotes and creates volunteer opportunities.
• Prepares for and assists in external reviews for COA, DARS, CSB/BHA, DMAS, DBHDS, etc.
• Performs routine day/evening travel and occasional overnight travel to monitor all service locations and to attend trainings and meetings.
• Provide direct services and supports as needed.
• Serve as back-up to on-call system and act as secondary contact to on-call staff.
• Represents the Agency in the community and workplace in a professional and ethical manner.
• Demonstrates sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral, and written skills.
• Utilizes a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Master’s Degree in a related field of study required with four years of experience. Two years of supervisory experience is required.
