Position Summary…

What you’ll do… People Development: Builds and leads a team to execute on business area or category objectives. Coaches team members and provides feedback toenhance skills, knowledge and work performance. Conducts performance and career development conversations, if applicable. Maintains teammotivation and engagement. Mentors less experienced associates and managers. Business Partnerships: Consults with senior leadership/ business partners (e.g., Sr. Directors/Directors) to understand goals/functional objectives,understand and identify key business issues and formulate ideas to mitigate current and future business challenges/issues; confirms functionalresearch objectives and oversees development of tactical research plans. Manages the creation of and presents actionable recommendations to Sr.Directors/Directors to contribute to business results. Serves as a subject matter expert to the business on market insights. Project Scope: Owns multiple projects end-to-end for a business area, category or prototype. Manages risk associated with implementation. Model Development: Develops data models (algorithms, approaches) for multiple projects within a business area or category to drive business resultsand value. Collaborates with project team to implement modeling solutions. Proof of Concept and Prototype: Manages the development and implementation of prototypes and production-ready complex algorithms for multipleprojects. Manages the testing and validation process to monitor the solution. Collaborates with Advanced Analytics Experts to develop new dataanalysis techniques. Data Collection and Analysis: Manages the development and application of advanced analytics to address unique business and technical problems,and support data-driven decision making. Makes strategic recommendations to analytics leadership based on data analysis. Supports moreexperienced team members with the development of data analysis strategies; participates in strategy development conversations. Collaboration: Collaborates with functional leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., Categories, Customer Experience, Merchandising) to developconsultative solutions for multiple projects for a business area, category or prototype. Interacts on a daily basis, and collaborates with externalbusiness partners and vendors. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating businessplans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuringprogress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based workenvironment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coachingfor success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction toothers in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with businesspartners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness;and participating in and supporting community outreach events. Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $128,000.00-$192,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

– Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

– Stock equity incentives

Minimum Qualifications…

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 3 years’ experience in data analytics or related field OR 5 years’
experience in data analytics or related field.

Certificate in business analytics, data mining, or statistical analysis, Statistical programming languages (for example, SAS, R)
