Join a team of product managers helping to guide our customers who work with the world’s leading GIS software, ArcGIS Pro. From promoting the current product and vision to gathering requirements for the future, you’ll have the challenge of supporting a product used by thousands of people every day to create and manage data, perform spatial analysis, design maps, and build stunning visualizations in 2D and 3D. You will work with an incredible development team building an amazing product, providing customer feedback and helping to guide the overall product direction. You will also work closely with product marketing to help define the product story and communicate the advantages of ArcGIS Pro within the context of Esri’s comprehensive product offerings. As the product manager, you’ll work with a diverse group of customers and partners looking to extend the capabilities of ArcGIS Pro to meet their unique custom requirements and industry focused needs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Software Development and Software Products groups to ensure that features and functionality remain relevant to user requirements
- Work closely with the ArcGIS Pro .NET SDK development team to ensure customer requirements are well defined and communicated
- Work with customers deploying ArcGIS Pro across their organizations to ensure that their requirements are being communicated with the appropriate development teams
- Track usage and adoption of ArcGIS Pro add-ins
- Work closely with Esri partners to help ensure their success extending and deploying ArcGIS Pro as part of their solutions
- Keep abreast of development trends and gather market intelligence in order to make effective decisions with regard to Esri’s evolving GIS capabilities
- Work closely with Product Marketing to help define go-to-market strategies and product stories and assist with the creation of product marketing materials
- Help minimize implementation issues by providing internal staff, Esri’s partner community, and customers with information on current and upcoming releases
- Maintain information (blog posts, technical papers, or PowerPoint presentations) on best practices, current release functionality, and more
- Assist in competitive analysis and gap analysis
- Develop demonstrations and samples using the ArcGIS Pro .NET SDK of existing and new capabilities in a context for Esri sales staff and customers, including distributors spread across the globe
- Support trade shows including the Esri Partner Conference, the Esri Developer Summit, and the Esri User Conference with organization, leadership, and presentations
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a product role (such as product management, engineering, development, or support)
- 1+ years of experience extending ArcGIS Desktop or related products using either the ArcGIS Pro SDK, ArcObjects, or through the Python API
- Understanding of existing GIS technologies (such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcMap, ArcObjects)
- Ability to understand and represent customer needs and requirements
- Ability to coordinate people and technical resources from multiple areas of the company
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at the technical and senior executive level
- Excellent problem-solving and creative thinking skills
- Requirement for travel 10-20% for strategic meetings, events and/or tradeshows
- Bachelor’s in computer science, GIS, or related field
Recommended Qualifications
- Master’s in computer science, GIS, or related field
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro in a product support, product planning, product engineering, or consulting environment
- Familiarity with current ArcGIS Pro capabilities and best practices

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $83,200.00 – $145,600.00.
