Case Analyst, Sr. Representative

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform new business processing functions as assigned, including, but not limited to, good order review of electronic applications, policy preparation, cancellations/declinations, and ordering Attending Physician Statements through an outside vendor.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting and maintain up-to-date case status on the daily case log.
  • Follow up on outstanding requirements (medical, financial, etc.).
  • Take responsibility for accuracy of work by conducting self-checks to ensure work is done right the first-time.
  • Maintain acceptable turn-around times and keep management informed if unable to complete work within appropriate service standards.
  • Perform work efficiently by adhering to best practices and develop the habit of routinely providing recommendations for process improvements.
  • Assist with providing proactive case management and coordination throughout the new business cycle.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience in all interactions with distribution partners.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including the Sales Support, Underwriting, Agent Compensation, Inforce Policy Service, Licensing and Contracting, and Conversion teams.
  • Serve as back-up for the Concierge (case manager) as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, state regulations, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and privacy rules.
  • Develop skill in solving problems and use good judgment in knowing how and when to escalate problems to a manager for review.
  • Be resourceful in knowing who or where to go for answers to questions and strive to use job aides and online resources when possible.
  • Train on all new business processing functions to gain a holistic view and understanding of the entire new business process.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of life insurance new business requirements, life insurance products, and illustrations. Become thoroughly familiar with New Business “age and amount” requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent years of related experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the life insurance business or financial services industry
  • Customer service and administrative experience in retail life insurance channel a plus

This is a hybrid position requiring three days a week (Tuesday thru Thursday) in our Leawood, KS office and Monday and Friday are work at home days.

Salary range: $37,500-$57,500

Overtime eligible: Nonexempt

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes

Sales bonus eligible: No
