Job Description Summary:
The director of global credit bureau strategy is a highly motivated and analytical leader who will manage PayPals credit bureau reporting function.

This role will be a leadership role within PayPals credit risk organization supporting our global consumer lending business. This is an exciting opportunity for a bureau subject matter expert build out a robust global credit bureau function. You will be the credit risk owner for your domain, balancing customer needs, business requirements, legal/compliance, growth, and monetization considerations.

Job Description:

PayPals credit risk management team is looking for high energy multi-disciplined individual to lead our credit bureau reporting function. This individual is an expert in all aspect of credit bureau reporting to build out a robust function while maintain regulatory compliance. The role is a leadership position that will provide subject matter expertise in all areas of credit bureau reporting and dispute management. The credit bureau reporting manager will help oversee the execution of PayPal policy and procedures globally through analysis, identification of trends, build of new capabilities and developing remediation solutions

  • You will interact with our global bureau partners to ensure compliance to regulatory policies
  • You will interact directly with legal, risk, engineering, and operations to address regulatory issues, remediation actions and mitigation of risk issues
  • You will be a thought leader and work with credit leaders to identify opportunities and risks
  • You will develop and execute on company policies
  • You will build out a reporting and dispute function
  • Be responsible for partnering with the key team members including compliance, fair lending, legal, and products team to provide sound risk management, key product enhancements or new product developments with sound risk mitigation controls.
  • Oversight and deep dive analysis to isolate issues and opportunities along with the strategies to provide proactive defense.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years credit bureau reporting experience at a bureau reporting agency, fintech, financial institution
  • 3-5 years credit reporting supervisory experience required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of leaders
  • Ability to prioritize and multi task
  • Strategic and analytical thinking with an excellent ability to deal with complex topics and to use data to drive strategic objectives and priorities
  • Ability to identify short, medium, and long-term opportunities and work with rest of the organization to execute against them.
  • Ability to lead and influence to deliver results in a matrixed environment
  • Deep understanding of lending, fintech, payments a plus
  • Informed and abreast of key credit bureau, alternative data, and risk management tools to enhance the credit risk strategies
  • Track record of delivering tangible results (proven experience delivering against a P&L is desirable)
  • FCRA, credit dispute and credit reporting experience
  • Experience across multiple geographies
