VP, C13 – Governance and Transformation Projects Lead (Hybrid)

The VP, Governance and Transformation Projects Lead will report to the Credit Risk Officer Governance Manager and the incumbent will be responsible for executing all components of the Global Credit Risk Officer framework. Credit Officers (COs) and Senior Credit Officers (SCOs), (collectively, “Credit Risk Officers”), are the foundation for all credit risk decisions made within Citi and CBNA. The importance of this function requires that the firm have a comprehensive and consistent approach to managing the Credit Risk Officer universe. The incumbent will have extensive interaction with senior management within Banking, Capital Markets, and Advisory (BCMA), Citi Markets, the Citi Commercial Bank (CCB), Personal Banking & Wealth Management (PBWM), Independent Risk Management, Compliance, and Learning & Development (L&D), will develop critical governance skills, and play a key role in enhancing the Global Credit Risk Officer Framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish sound data governance practices for consistent, verifiable, and high-quality reporting and analytics according to WCR standards to include regulatory mandates and everchanging risk management data attributes including data remediation as required amongst the numerous systems
  • Oversee the control testing processes and ensuring regulations are mapped to applicable Manager’s Control Assessment (MCA) Activities, Risks, Controls and Monitoring (ARCMs) including oversight for remediation of control failures
  • Proactively identify emerging risks and collaborates with Global Credit Risk Officer Framework team members to support on any deficiencies or control gaps, streamline control design (ensuring consistency across the team), ensuring appropriate remedial actions are in place, supporting control enhancements, creating/managing Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and opening Self-Identified Issues (SII) when needed
  • Maintain the Credit Risk Officer Policy and Procedures
  • Responsible for producing all relevant WCR Decks
  • Act as the WCR PMO and provide all updates on the WCR status
  • Identify policy and procedure gaps within the department and propose and implement solutions
  • Update and capture regular metrics to monitor and measure business and regulatory impact
  • Coordinate controls and standardization among different lines of business to create consistent reporting
  • Resolve complex and highly variable issues related to reporting in the WCR space
  • Facilitate standardization of ARCMs within the team
  • Coordinate procedures creations, modifications and approvals
  • Manage assigned projects in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and that deliverables are met
  • Lead all discussions with Internal Audit
  • Demonstrate an ability to resolve internal and external audit issues and to interpret information requests from Regulators
  • Responsible for the management of Artifacts for regulatory and audit purposes
  • Coordinate all WCR Stakeholders within the team and outside the team
  • Manage the ongoing development, implementation, and upgrade information within the risk systems
  • Aggregate, oversee and drive for execution of remediation efforts related to WCR data quality, primarily focused on risk ratings
  • Develop, maintain and further enhance the reports based on understanding of stakeholder and regulatory requirements
  • Liaise with multiple departments including business, compliance, and financial controls to resolve reporting issues

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience
  • Knowledgeable on credit risk management concepts
  • Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Proven attention to detail with ability to work independently and prioritize workload
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
