TTS NA Commercial Cards Market Manager (Hybrid)

The TTS NA Commercial Cards Network Management team is responsible for the development of strategies across product management, portfolio management, pricing, operating efficiency, and market positioning.

A Network Manager in this team is actively looking for ways to improve the portfolio performance, increase client satisfaction through the definition of frictionless product delivery, and strategical placing of our products and services through Sales, Client Executives, and Banking Partners.

Leading market positioning, product solutioning, and driving profitability of the business within a strict risk and control environment, requires a person with strong strategic, organizational, financial management, and data analysis and statistical skills, that can balance this core strengths and be personable to interact throughout every level of the organization across operations, sales, and senior management in Commercial Cards and across TTS and ICG.

The Market Segment & Services Senior Specialist is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary lead on all aspects of day-to-day Commercial Cards deal flow for the North America Commercial Cards, with active engagement in the definition and execution of market/client centric strategy across all Commercial Cards products (T&E, VCA, Purchase Card, Meeting and Events Cards, etc.) to expand market presence and support go-to-market initiatives.
  • Support monetization, revenue and return optimization initiatives for North America’s region. Manage all aspects of comprehensive pricing strategy and deal structuring for key segments. Analyze trends in deal wins and losses and apply learnings to Regional pricing strategy focused on minimizing price compression and maximizing wallet penetration.
  • Develop and build analytics to improve profitability of incentives programs for key client segments in North America. Research traditional Commercial Card bank issuers and fintech/non-bank players in the Commercial Cards segment and provide market insights for cross-functional teams and relationship teams.
  • Interface with global and regional cross-functional partners in Product Management, Pricing, and Operations to define product positioning and solutioning in accordance to Commercial Card offering and competitive in price.
  • Drive extensive vertical research and quantitative analysis including opportunity sizing to understand penetration in key sectors and opportunities for NA T&E and B2B offerings capture sizeable untapped flows.
  • Establish and manage key relationships with Commercial Card Networks to ensure coordinated go-to-market approach for key segments and strategic insight/support for deal management and growth initiatives.
  • Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Market and Credit Risk, Compliance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
  • Develop recommendations to advise Citi’s senior management on high-priority initiatives, including growth strategy, product strategy, and cross-sell initiatives.
  • High level of client visibility and interaction expected for this role, Market Manager will gain exposure to all key deal structuring process and client solutioning conversations as instrumental member of a cross-functional deal team.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in electronic banking channels with good knowledge of corporate banking practices in the cash management space; Exposure to and understanding of business analysis, data and system analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to self-direct work efforts, meet deadlines, take initiative, and produce consistent high-quality work; Willingness to be a direct contributor and ability to multi-task
  • Capacity to proactively anticipate, identify, and resolve issues.
  • Highly organized and responsive.
  • Experience and knowledge in the use and implementation of data analytics tools is a plus

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
