Project & Program Manager, VP
Finance & Risk Shared Services (“FRSS”) is a key department within CSS, providing operational support to Corporate Finance. Working within FRSS, the Project & Program Manager will deliver results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). The role’s initial focus will be on program governance of FRSS deliverables for a major Oracle GL implementation at Citi. The successful candidate will use their understanding of how areas within FRSS collectively integrate, as well as contribute to the objectives of FRSS and Corporate Finance, to provide effective program/project governance and delivery where relevant. This includes close partnership with colleagues and stakeholders in other areas, such as Finance and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specified projects ensuring consistency with Citi project management governance.
- Senior management/executive reporting and presentations including production of dashboards
- Overall program governance for strategic ledger deliverables owned by FRSS
- Support planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a project or program including creation and maintenance of relevant program and project artefacts
- Assess the creation and signoff of program plan and charter, benefits management plan, stakeholder management, acceptance plan, and central program issue log.
- Escalate program risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with all Citi PM policies and procedures
Critical Competencies:
- Demonstrated capacity working in highly pressured & volatile environments
- Proficiency in communicating clearly and concisely to senior management including production and effective use of dashboard reports
- Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince decision makers and colleagues in other areas.
- Proficiency in stakeholder management carrying efficient meetings and communication strategies.
- Ability to identify project risks and implement successful mitigation plans
- Ability to resolve complex problems, where expertise is required to understand and challenge policies, guidelines or processes
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience in project management, ideally in financial services.
- Experience in interaction at Board/Executive management level of businesses
- Experience of successful project delivery of finance/accounting projects (Oracle Financial)
- PMP certification strongly preferred
- Experience in Agile / Agile certifications preferred
- Must be eligible to work in US. This position does not offer VISA sponsorship.
- This location will be at our Tampa, FL office and is not eligible for remote work
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Master’s degree
