Kilpatrick Townsend a large international law firm, is seeking an Internet Analyst for our Trademark & Copyright Department in our Atlanta office. This position will be part of our team of attorneys, paralegals and support staff providing a high level of service to both internal and external clients. Principal responsibilities are to perform online research for potentially infringing or problematic content from the internet to research potentially infringing trademark applications, and perform legal support for supervising department members.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Research the internet and review online websites, torrents, blogs, and data sites for infringing or problematic content and identify anonymous infringers.
- Review online auctions, retailers, classified listings, and other websites, and analyze for violations of clients’ copyrights, trademark rights, rights of publicity, and business issues or defamatory commentary.
- Review, utilize and maintain various databases (including Salesforce) with client information. Monitor and docket deadlines.
- Draft appropriate cease and desist letters and notices of infringement.
- Coordinate review and analysis of infringing activity, with attorneys.
- Prepare and generate reports in Word and Excel for client meetings.
- Various other projects as needed both administrative and legal.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Extensive familiarity with online research and general internet-based business.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong editing and proofreading abilities.
- Self-starter, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and perform work well under pressure and deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of client information.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and dependable team player with the flexibility to work overtime as needed.
This is a full-time, regular position with a multi-faceted health benefit package including medical, dental, and vision. The firm also offers life insurance, short term disability plans and retirement plans in addition to holidays and paid time off.The firm offers hybrid work schedules combining in office work days as well as remote work days. The pay range for this position in Atlanta only is $27.28 to $40.92 per hour. The pay range for this position in Los Angeles only is $32.66 to $48.97 per hour.
