What you will be doing….
- Critical for the Game Designer to have experience and have executed on designing and creating original design documents.
- Work across departments to create a cohesive and robust design vision.
- Design game features that aligns with a high level of creativity.
- Work across departments and with QA to ensure game balance (economy, retention, monetization, progression, etc.) is aligned with project goal.
- Experience with identifying user experience and how users interact with the game world.
- Participate in testing sessions to ensure prototypes and final builds align with game design specifications.
- Consult with Head of Production to ensure the design remains within timeline and budget parameters.
- Ensure the end design vision is articulated throughout the full production lifecycle.
The salary range for this role is $70,000 – $110,000 annually.
Requirements
Candidates must have the following to be considered for this role:
- Robust portfolio of game design documents based around engaging and fun ideas.
- At least 4 Years of Game Design experience in a similar role.
- Strong creative vision and the ability to communicate it.
- Solid understanding of the fundamentals of game balance.
- Love of gaming, the game industry and a passion for keeping up with industry trends.
- Excellent communication skills, critical thinking skills, and ability to problem solve on the fly.
- Familiarity with free to play and casual-leaning gaming titles.
- Proven track record of being able to design engaging and fun games.
- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong creative vision and the ability to share it.
- Strong analytical and balance skills.
- Solid knowledge of the gaming industry, how games work, and the latest trends.
- Strong leadership skills to help delegate and communicate necessary workload.
- Experience with mobile gaming or Roblox is a huge plus.
- Experience leading Game Design teams is a plus.
