Responsibilities

The Claims Business to Business Ecosystem product team is seeking a software engineer to join our inclusive and engaged team. Providing best in class claims service to customers requires detailed and expeditious interactions with third party service providers (body shops, contractors, other insurance carriers, etc.) during the lifecycle of a claim. The individual selected will be a part of high performing and empowered product team to design, develop and implement new product functionalities for third parties along with troubleshooting application issues as they arise.

In this role you will:

  • Apply an expert understanding of development tools, processes, applications, programming languages and environments to assignments
  • Design and develop full-stack applications using industry adopted languages and frameworks
  • Enable solution modernization activities through design and development-related work items and architectural engagement
  • Provide the highest level of support for problem and issue resolution and provides technical consultation and direction to business and product team members
  • Lead strategic work across the product suite and utilizes application architecture to increase efficiency and

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have the following skills/experiences:

  • Object-oriented software/application development experience
  • Development languages – Typescript, Javascript, Java, Python, Node.js, Go
  • DevOps and CI/CD pipeline knowledge – Gitlab CI, GitOps, Containerized solutions, Alerting and monitoring solutions using CloudWatch, Chaos Testing
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • AWS Technologies – Lambda, State Machines, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, Kinesis, CloudWatch
  • Additional Technologies – PCF, CaaS, Postgres, Redis
