General Description of Position:
Under the direction of the Vice President of Finance, provide planning, management, analysis, and oversight of the College’s cash receipts and disbursements, including federal and state financial aid funds, cash accounts and auxiliary funds, the College’s investments, and the College’s outstanding indebtedness and long-term liabilities.
Major Responsibilities:
Prepare cash flow projections and trend analysis.
Monitor and analyze major cash receipts and disbursements, including student tuition payments and financial aid funds.
Develop and oversee processes, procedures and policies for efficient cash receipt and disbursement.
Manage the College’s investment register and prepare investment reports and analysis.
Perform analysis and trend analysis of College’s indebtedness and long-term liabilities.
Supervise preparation of cash management, financial aid and auxiliary accounting records and assist in financial statement preparation.
Monitor cash balances, budget balance and projections to identify potential problem areas.
Complete financial analysis of accounts, programs and initiatives as requested by the Vice President of Finance.
Collaborate with campus and Systems Office finance leadership to develop and improve financial processes, policies and procedures.
Direct, coordinate, and review accounting activities related to reporting and audit of internal control of cash, custody, and disbursement of College funds.
Establish and maintain banking relationships with banking partners and financial institutions.
Collaborate with Accounts Receivable Systems Administrator to ensure compliance with all Federal Student Aid Cash Management rules.
Support the College’s strategic plan by helping the College achieve its financial objectives.
Recommend initiatives to enhance risk mitigation and fraud protection.
Direct college wide banking and treasury activities.
Document and implement policies and procedures related to cash management, cash forecasting, liquidity management, and other regulatory, internal control, and compliance issues.
Research and identify options for improving delivery of financial services.
Maintain security and confidentiality of financial records.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Must have at least 3 years of experience in financial management and planning or accounting.
Must demonstrate strong attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
Must demonstrate ability to effectively build and manage a highly functioning team.
A strong focus on customer service required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree.
