U.S. Facilities and Operations:
Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.
Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Supervisor/Line Operator, monitor material in order to maintain efficient flow of production within QS guidelines. Perform medium to heavy lifting functions in the unit. Load and unload vessels when necessary. Perform vessel setups in a timely manner.
Responsibilities: Essential Duties
- Ensure the staging of all pallets of product in proper order per letter and pallet number.
- Note QS times against Production schedules, knowledge of qualified vessel for product line.
- Have the proper probes ready and available for each vessel load.
- Shoot bar code on tag and verify its presence in the computer.
- Record all probe numbers into the computer.
- Complete all vessel checks such as clamps and tubing inside vessel.
- Communicate with Filling Process Monitors regarding dropped tags.
- Communicate with Packing Process Monitors with respect to keeping the product flow.
- Make sure to tag dummy pallets and punch all tags properly.
- Maintain work area in neat and orderly condition. Adhere to all safety and good housekeeping regulations.
- Work overtime, any shift and in other areas as needed.
- At shift startup, perform the following per SPM: review floor load and schedules for daily production requirements and review this with Shift Monitors that are leaving; inspect incoming sterilizer tags; review packing side of floor to prevent line from going down.
- Probing: Perform per SPM #05-01-00-07-003; complete knowledge of probing products and vessels; record all necessary probe numbers.
- Routinely perform all functions on the floor in the sterilization area. Move pallets around to help the flow of the process. High level of communication with peers, leads, supervisor, production process monitors and sterilization maintenance.
- Routinely load and unload vessels by shooting bar code. Perform any cross functional duties that have been trained to do.
- At shift’s end and according to SPM #01-01-00-07-001, leave area clean and orderly. Must communicate with next shift on floor status and QS times.
Expertise: Knowledge & Skills
- Manual dexterity.
- Good communication skills with the ability to read, write and understand job language in English.
- Ability to add and subtract simple whole numbers.
Target Based Range
$23.51-$25.94
Qualifications
Expertise: Qualifications – Experience/Training/Education/Etc
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Required to pass SAT II skills test with a minimum score equivalent to 7th grade English comprehension and 6th grade math skills.
- Must have Line experience up to 1 year on any production area.
- Proof required for proper use of hand or power truck operation.
