Under the direction of the department manager or designee, performs department support and administrative work to include but are not limited to answering phones and directing calls, capturing and gathering information and preparing management and departmental reports, maintaining files, analyzing computer reports, and performing staff support functions in order to maximize the efficiency of the department(s) management and professional staff. Also, responsible for documenting and maintaining budget spending, check request, contracts, and training schedule. Manages, verifies, and maintains engineering contracts. Performs computerized maintenance management system application and support functions for the department.
Hourly Pay Rate: $18.24 – $26.90
Qualifications
Education:
- Requires a high school diploma or GED.
Experience:
- Requires at least two (2) years of healthcare administrative-related experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certification/Licensure:
- Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be extremely detail-oriented and organized.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Requires the ability to work with professionals and maintain confidentiality.
- Must have initiative, the ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot while maintaining a professional and friendly manner, and the ability to multitask.
- Must be able to work effectively, cooperate and collaborate with a team as well as have the ability to work independently.
- Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Publisher, and Microsoft PowerPoint is preferred.
- Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
- Knowledge of the department’s computerized maintenance management system is strongly preferred.
- Prefer knowledge of various medical terminologies.
