Job Summary

The YMCA of Greater Seattle has an opportunity to serve as our organization’s Donor and Volunteer Systems management expert as it relates to the configuration of comprehensive fundraising and volunteer systems. This position leads the coordination of people and processes to ensure campaign and appeal components are delivered in time for our largest campaign and additional annual appeals. This position will have the primary responsibility for the Volunteer Matters database and will assist with the management of our donor systems. This position maintains the integrity and accuracy of the databases through the development of oversight of policies and procedures. Duties for this position will include providing process analysis and improvement plan implementation to increase efficiencies and lead the administrative functions to support campaign work. It will serve as the liaison for Volunteer Matters, assigned branches, and the appeal planning teams, as well as supervision of assigned staff.

Hiring range: $26.00-28.00/hr

Responsibilities

Principle Activities:

  • Troubleshooting, escalating and responding to user inquiries about system use, configuration and stays current on future release issues and enhancements.
  • Serve as point person for routine system tasks like mail merge, queries, reports, list management for mailings and e-lists and Online Express appeal updates
  • Collaborate with System Specialist to ensure effective communication to synchronize system use and expectations based on analysis of information to continuously improve and refine processes
  • Create audits for operating system with System Specialist that ensure data integrity and accurate reporting/analytics
  • Serve as YMCA of Greater Seattle Volunteer systems subject matter expert Troubleshoot, escalate and respond to user inquiries about system use, configuration and limitations. Serve as point of contact for Volunteer Matters product support. Stays current on future release issues and enhancements
  • Manage all project creation in Volunteer Matters. Responsible for user experience improvements
  • Donor operations project management. Project management of campaign and appeal reporting and analysis
  • Recruits, hires, trains, evaluates and supervises assigned staff

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two to three years of experience in a related position managing Raiser’s Edge and proficiency in standard technology tools. Other applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position will be considered
  • Must have gift processing experience and working knowledge of fundraising
  • 1+ years of experience in a position with responsibility for managing or leading others
  • Knowledge of or direct experience with process improvement methodologies, streamlining business processes to improve effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Proven analytical/conceptual skills required to identify and interpret problems and recommend and implement solutions
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage workflow and resolve questions via phone, email and in person
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to produce professional documents, reports and well-crafted correspondence using various office software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to details
  • Advanced Excel skills required

Preferred Attributes and Skills:

  • Experience with YMCA business functions and processes preferred
  • Experience with business process mapping and implementation
  • Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.)
  • Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
  • Experience with ImportOmatic
