What will you do?

You will work from process sheets, blueprints or other written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maneuver large, awkward, or heavy parts manually or with a crane.
  • Setup and operate manual lathes to process components.
  • Install machine fixtures to assure safe operation of the machine.
  • Maintain machine and work area in a clean and safe manner.
  • Check and inspect operation against predetermined tolerances.
  • Adopt a learning and flexibility approach to expanding knowledge to Computer Numerical Control machines.
  • Work in other areas or departments as assigned.
  • Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday – Friday 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM.

Key Competencies:

  • At least one year of experience setting up and running manual lathes.
  • Ability to read blueprints, including standard dimensioning practices, tolerances, etc.
  • Ability to determine the correct measuring tool and implement its use
  • Must be proficient with micrometers, calipers, and a tape measure
  • Must be able to communicate professionally with machinists, supervisors, and managers
  • Requires strong math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide decimals. Must also be able to convert fractions to decimals.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete simple logs and reports in English
  • Ability to consistently stand for an entire shift
  • Ability to work in a team setting

Wage information:

  • Wage Range: $22.82 – 30.96 hourly pay rate

The base salary range above represents the low and high end of Martin’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be within the range based on various factors, including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Martin’s total compensation package for employees. In addition, Martin provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life, and disability insurance, a profit-sharing plan, a 401K trust plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
