Position Summary:
In this role as a Senior Field Technician, you will assist in developing and maintaining Nespresso Business Solutions (NBS) in Office, Hotel, Restaurant and or Business to consumer clients. The field technician provides onsite installation, maintenance, and repair services on all of Business to consumer and Business to business commercial machine models.
Key Responsibilities:
B2B Onsite Customer Support:
- Perform installation, troubleshooting support, repair services and preventative maintenance on business-to-business machine line.
- Travel to B2C/B2B customer locations to perform these services and to assess customer needs from site locations
- Perform field services when required including weekends and holidays, depending on the shift
Service Requests:
- Accurately complete service request forms with complete service data (travel and labor time, parts usage, repair comments, etc.) and submit for processing
- Communicate regularly with team members, parts representatives, dispatchers, and customers on status of service requests
- Perform Customer Satisfaction surveys on site
Training & Assessments:
- Regularly observe customer sites and assess and communicate customer needs to account team.
- Continuous improvement & training – continually learn all designs, functions, dismantling techniques, and repair methods for all Nespresso machine models.
- Perform cross training and troubleshooting support to Nespresso Service Providers and Distributors as necessary
ASC Operation (Aftersales Center):
- Oversee local ASC operation and ensure proper organization and storage of goods, cleanliness of facility, timely stock replenishment of regularly used goods and safety protocols.
- Receive, distribute and track deliveries, accordingly, collect and return customer products to proper locations, maintain availability of security system/internet services/tools for in shop work activities.
- Conduct and maintain all vehicle maintenance per Nestle guidelines
Experience and Education Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite strongly preferred
• 5+ years’ work experience in troubleshooting and problem solving preferred
• 3+ years’ experience repairing appliances required. Espresso machines and similar products preferred
• Valid Driver’s license required
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical team members in a collaborative manner
• Continuous process improvement experience strongly preferred
Travel requirements include:
- Client visits, upwards of 80% or more
- This position requires weekend and holiday field service support
- Occasional travel to meetings or trade shows required
The approximate pay range for this position is $70,000.00 to $82,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
