Job Description
- Acts as a Maintenance Technician
- Manages and complies with all maintenance requirements and activities of Visa Aviation aircraft through MYCMP or CAMP.
- Helps to manage all Flight Department maintenance policies and procedures
- Assists in establishing maintenance safety policies and procedures for ground operations and evaluates effectiveness via the Safety Management System
- Provides plans and schedules for all aircraft maintenance on DOM’s request.
- Prepares specifications for bids on outside repairs, maintenance, and inspections and reviews bids and makes recommendations to the DOM
- Reviews maintenance visit invoices and workorders for payment
- Coordinates with regulatory agencies on maintenance topics
- Coordinates with all non-company personnel or Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMOs) performing maintenance on Visa Aviation aircraft
- Establishes and maintains aircraft maintenance records required by FAA regulations, manufacturer recommendations, company policy and DOM
- Ensures compliance with Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins affecting Flight Department aircraft
- Removes unsafe aircraft from service and report to DOM
- Removes aircraft from service that do not comply with the CFRs and report to DOM
- Ensures calibration of test equipment and tools
- Ensures that products, parts, supplies, and consumables meet the specifications and requirements set forth by the manufacturer and that necessary amounts of these items are maintained.
- Monitors expiration dates for Aircraft parts, aircraft/hangar consumable supplies, first aid kits, automatic external defibrillators, and other applicable survival / emergency equipment
- Reviews and updates emergency and survival equipment and aircraft spare parts list on an annual basis and/or as equipment/parts and contents change
- Maintains a current technical library and distributes new information as appropriate
- Assumes any duties delegated by the DOM.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
n- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
n- FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
n- 5-7 years aviation experience
n- Continuing education in aviation maintenance through accredited schools or manufacturer’s training programs required
n- Demonstrated effective communications to include written and verbal
n- Expert skills in decision-making and building partnerships internally and externally
n- Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate and build cross-functional relationships
n- Work with all levels of personnel and effectively interact with senior and executive management.
n- Excellent planning and organization skills and business judgment, including the ability to anticipate the impact of decisions/initiatives
n- Ability to drive continuous improvement activities to exceed customer expectations and help promote a professional organization
n- Ability to work a flexible schedule may include nights, weekends, and holidays

n- 10 or more years aviation experience
n- Broad knowledge of, and experience with, the maintenance of aircraft of the class, category and type that Visa operates
n- Work performed in a maintenance facility / hangar / outside on a ramp
n- Work can include being in a confined space or on ladders or in elevated areas, such as on a high lift to reach a wing or engine
n- Working in areas with noise, corrosion, hot and cold surface hazards
n- Standing for long periods of time, bending, stretching, twisting, grasping sometimes repeated movements with fingers, hands, wrists
n- Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying heavy objects up to 50 lbs
n- Driving of aircraft tugs, carts, and lifts
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $113,100.00 to $147,000.00, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
