This position will be assigned a core project to be worked throughout the duration of the internship and will be assigned supplemental learning opportunities as time allows. The intern is expected to demonstrate critical thinking and initiative while working in a team environment and will be required to identify and execute creative solutions to financial reporting & modeling needs.
At the conclusion of the internship, the intern will have a clear understanding of how their studies can directly contribute to the success of a business.
This is a part-time summer internship position (less than 30hrs a week), working with the Finance team at Kestra.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Project: The FP&A Intern will develop regional financial statements that highlight key information for both Finance and non-Finance team members. The end product should aid field team members & leadership in making strong, data-based decisions in their daily operations
- Project Execution: Use critical thinking skills to define a project schedule, complete research using Kestra’s various business systems, collaborate with key stakeholders, and outline a structure for financial statement Budget vs Actual analysis
- Project Presentation: At internship end, present results, findings, and recommendations to the Finance team and Kestra Executive Leadership

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience Required:
- 2+ years in a degree program focusing on Accounting or Finance
- Strong desire to learn
Preferred:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Basic understanding of financial statements
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Indoor open office environment
- Minimal noise volume typical to an office environment
- Extended/overtime hours when needed
- Drug-free
INTERNSHIP ELIGIBILITY:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past 6 months
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment with Kestra Medical Technologies
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Must provide own transportation to/from work
- Must successful complete and pass a criminal and employment background screening that meets the allowable FDA requirements and is in accordance with EEOC rules and regulations
- Must successfully pass a pre-internship drug screen
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Frequent repetitive motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers, such as keyboard and mouse usage
