Based on job duties, this position is designated as telework eligible on a hybrid basis (i.e., working at least 2 days per week in the office); the selected applicant must complete the initial training period prior to being eligible to telework. All requests to telework are reviewed and must be approved by ODOTs Chief Human Resources Officer

  • Manage Traffic Engineer Program
  • Serves as District 9 Pavement Manager
  • Supervise lower-level Engineers.
  • Provide Budgetary Information for long-range pavement plans.

Qualifications
Licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 3, 85643; if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver’s license.

-Or licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 2 yrs. exp. as group or project leader or supervisor providing work direction & training to employees engaged in engineering projects or 2 yrs. exp. in managing engineering research projects (i.e., managing research projects applies only to staff specialist positions); if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver’s license.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated registration.
