Job Summary

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) is one of PSEG’s Core Commitments and this role will directly support the DEI program. The primary responsibility is to develop content and engage with the workforce through facilitated discussions and proactively work with employees, departments, and sites to understand the culture, identify needs or gaps, and develop and implement strategies to address. This position will serve as a direct liaison between the Offfice of DEI and the workforce to understand and address DEI and culture needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Engages with the workforce to better understand the DEI and culture needs of the organization. Uses those insights to develop content to address workplace needs.
  • Conducts both in-person and virtual instructor-led DEI workshops and facilitated discussions utilizing content they have developed as part of the Office of DEI. Utilizes feedback and insights from these sessions to modify or develop new DEI programs. This work will also include conducting inclusive leadership engagement programs and training for employees and supervisors, both in person and virtually.
  • Proactively works with departments and sites to understand the culture, identify needs or gaps, and develop and implement strategies and culture change plans to address.
  • Support other DEI initiatives and programs, such as training and internal review processes; provide oversight support to internal employee-led teams.

Job Specific Qualifications

  • BA/BS with 5 years relevant experience; in lieu of degree 8 years relevant work experience

Other qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or certification from an accredited program in DEI, Human Resources, Education, Workplace Culture or related field. In addition, a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with DEI work. In lieu of a Degree, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with DEI work.
  • Extensive experience conducting training, listening sessions, and facilitated discussions with the ability to empathize and engage with participants. Ability to move beyond teaching and promote self-reflection and learning as an empathetic listener, providing thoughtful and judgment-free feedback.
  • Experience using data to develop and inform company-wide and site-specific culture initiatives, along with the ability to plan, develop and manage projects and implement resulting recommendations. Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Innovative, strategic thinking and planning skills. Ability to create and communicate a vision for the future and translate it into clear strategies and specific priorities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including excellent presentation, facilitation and listening skills.
  • Proven ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively across business units, functional departments, and disciplines; experience leading teams to achieve a desired outcome. Able to establish relationships and credibility as a trusted partner and change agent.
  • The ideal candidate will be energetic, passionate about culture change, and focused on making an impact, with a willingness to roll up sleeves and get the job done.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and be able to travel to locations throughout the state of New Jersey
