Position: Manager I, Business Analysis and Insights

Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066

Duties: Create processes from scratch and automate and scale them over time. Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge in Site Operations and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans. Own day-to-day relationships with third party partners and small to mid-sized Site Operations projects by providing and supporting the implementation of business solutions. Drive the execution of standardized processes. Implement automated solutions for continuous improvement using AI and machine learning (ML) algorithms. Lead holiday readiness efforts across the organization for the eCommerce business. Implement support processes including team calendar, on-call rotation, incident handling, incident communication, and escalations in partnership with enterprise IT. Develop marketplace seller educational materials presentations, white papers, and other documentation for the full funnel of marketplace seller education to ensure performance and policy adherence. Develop strategic plans to ensure successful implementation of action plans and objectives where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company, competitive environment, technology, economic, or social implications of organization activities. Be a Subject Matter Expert of all marketplaces polices to quantify data and trends into technical and operational changes for Walmart’s third-party sellers. Work cross-functionally across Partner Services to evangelize mission strategies for seller education and identify success standards. Improve on content by analyzing negative defect trends that drive further clarity for marketplace Sellers. Partner with Business, Product, and Technology teams on roadmap initiatives and implementations and identify system gaps. Utilize SQL to pull current performance trends and measure the current and future impact of new and revised product changes related to the marketplace. Identify and track performance, drive user adoption, measure progress, and iterate on needs and requirements by evaluating business and operational problems, conducting data-driven analysis to assess potential solutions, and developing strategic recommendations that address the root cause of problems. Utilize advanced REST Client to test APIs using the API endpoints and validate seller’s performance based on the return value. Build API frameworks and create documentation to enable self-serve consumption of the APIs. Develop data visualizations and troubleshoot data issues by building customized reports and dashboards to investigate opportunities using Tableau, GCP, and Salesforce. Analyze and interpret information by using various analytical methodologies for one or more initiative work streams to improve business efficiency. Translate analyses into recommendations align with business objectives to meet business goals. Drive development and improvement of new and existing operational tools, reports, and customer-facing functionality by providing direction and input on business and functional requirements. Deliver expected business results while putting the customer first and consistently applying an omni-merchant mindset to all plans. Drive continuous optimization opportunities to improve key processes including alignment with key stakeholders, product, and strategy development engagement. Engage with teams and leaders across the Marketplace and broader Walmart organization and coordinate to improve alignment, develop joint priorities, and represent Marketplace strategies and objectives in critical decision-making forums. Drive operational readiness and the GTM activity involving the development of strong partnerships across marketing, partner, services, and sales to lead and execute the priorities. This position does not supervise employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field and 1 year of experience in data analytics, project management, business, or related area; OR 3 years of experience in data analytics, project management, business, or related area.

Skills required: Demonstrated knowledge eCommerce Marketplaces. Experience working cross-functionally with technical, engineering, and business teams. Demonstrated knowledge of technical problems in eCommerce including API errors. Experience with SQL. Experience with customer management or client management. Experience with Project Management. Experience working with technical support teams or customer support teams. Experience working in the retail industry. Experience with Root Cause Analysis reporting. Experience with Salesforce. Experience with Product or Project tracking using JIRA. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: The annual salary range for this full-time position is $126,277/year to $131,250/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
