We believe learning growth matters most, requires risk-taking, and the work we do in our schools has the greatest impact on this.
We’re future-focused, believing the development of certain traits and skills will best prepare our students for ever-changing careers.

Sheltered in a beautiful valley, Cañon features a mild and hospitable year-round climate. In fact, Cañon City is said to be in the “banana belt” of Colorado, seeing very few days of extreme weather. Cañon is 45 miles southwest of Colorado Springs, 100 miles southwest of Denver, and 40 miles west of Pueblo. With a total population in excess of 18,000, economic activities include tourism, retail, manufacturing, a growing technology industry, healthcare, city and county government, grade school and higher education, and corrections.
