The Communication and Learning Solutions secretary position coordinates with vendors, assists communications specialists with project management, website updates, event management and more!
This position will be located at the Educational Service Center in Downingtown, PA. Opportunity to work from home up to two days a week after successful completion of 90 days working at CCIU.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalency required
- Excellent grammar and proof reading expertise required
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field preferred
- 1-3 years office experience required; 3-5 years office experience preferred
- Must have exemplary secretarial skills, including word processing, typing and proofreading
- Must have exemplary customer service skills
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must have strong computer skills in Word, Database and Spreadsheet software programs
- Desktop publishing, web-based publishing and survey software skills preferred
- Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends to support CCIU events
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide secretarial support to the communications manager
- Provide support to the communications specialists and duplication/mailroom staff as needed and as assigned
- Plan and arrange meetings for the communications manager and communications specialists as needed and as assigned
- Plan and arrange IU-wide staff events
- Assist in the duplication department as needed
- Assist with proofreading documents created in the department and throughout the organization.
Salary Range:
- Support Hay, Band 10, Nonexempt
- Annual salary range: $38,308 – $47,885; placement on salary scale dependent upon years of experience in similar role
- The CCIU is currently offering a sign on bonus of up to $1,500 for candidates who apply and are subsequently hired for a permanent position (full-time or part-time) between March 16, 2023, and October 31, 2023. More information will be shared with eligible individuals at the time of hire.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. 12 month position (260 days). Must be able to work nights and weekends to support CCIU special events. Opportunity to work up to two days a week from home after successful completion of 90 work days.
