The Machine Operator Assembly & Packaging that supports our SDC business unit has responsibility forcritical machine operations for our Spore Strip Assembly products or the Self-Contained Biological Indicator Assembly. The Machine Operator functions independently in the lab to meet production schedules for Mesa Labs clients.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to operate Spore Strip Packager (SSP) Machines or Self-Contained Biological Indicator assembly machines (PODS).
- Ability to support operation of all Assembly and Packaging Labelers.
- Assist with troubleshooting machine performance issues.
- Work closely with Manager – Manufacturing to suggest and implement machinery improvements.
- Ability to respond to production timelines.
- Ability to follow SOPs and provide continuous feedback.
- Ability to follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Comply with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Application of the Mesa Labs Quality Policy and active monitoring of product quality during manufacturing.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications/Education:
- One or more years of machine operation experience in a production or environment preferred, willing to train.
- Knowledge of or experience in a Federal Drug Administration (FDA) regulated industry preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalency degree required.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Compensation/Benefits:
Base hourly wage (new increased rate), structured bonus plan, medical/dental/vision, 401k/match, paid time off, paid holidays, monthly housing stipend.
The salary for this position is $20/hr.
This position is eligible for $3000.00 sign on bonus paid over 90 days.
