Responsibilities

This position will partial on-site and partial remote. Candidates must be within a reasonable driving distance from the Phoenix, AZ site.

The Senior Rep role will serve as a financial navigator for oncology/radiation oncology patients. The individual will be responsible for financial screening, external funding applications (e.g., copay assistance/grant applications), billing questions, and other requests as needed. The individual will serve in a hybrid onsite/offsite role. The individual should be familiar with revenue cycle with particular focus on financial counseling or patient account services. The individual must be comfortable with face-to-face patient communication and have excellent written/oral communication skills. Epic or oncology experience is a plus.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years of relevant healthcare, medical billing (hospital and/or professional), financial clearance or denial management experience. Associates degree or higher preferred.

OR

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year of relevant healthcare, medical billing (hospital and/or professional), financial clearance or denial management experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, i.e. English, including proper phone etiquette. Advanced financial and mathematical competencies are essential. Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential. Advanced computer/keyboarding skills. Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance; may be required to work OT. Competence and experience with Epic is preferred. Advanced knowledge of medical billing and collections processes required. Advanced knowledge of healthcare terminology preferred. Advanced knowledge of multiple payers preferred.
