Lucid is looking for an experienced thought leader with a demonstrated track record of building out a first in class Trade-In Operations program.
The Role
- Work cross-collaboratively to facilitate and build out inventory and remarketing duties, including pricing, reconditioning and venue selection decisions.
- Develop Lucid’s trade-in and private party purchase workflows, including the ability to understand vehicle condition and establish vehicle value.
- Create remarketing tools, documents, systems, and processes.
- Develop Trade-In operation goals, coordinating with related departments such as purchasing, transportation brokerage firms, logistics, insurance companies, and all other respective partners.
- Keep apprised of industry publications, websites, internal and external data sources, in order to stay informed and up to date on used vehicle values and the remarketing industry in general.
- Liaise with teams including Finance, Purchasing, Inspection Centers, Insurance, Loss Prevention, Market Operations and others in order to accomplish the remarketing goals for any company owned vehicles.
- Responsible for developing and facilitating a training program to educate respective Stakeholders on Lucid’s Trade-In operations and procedures.
Qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience in the automotive industry with a portion of that leading vehicle purchasing and remarketing activities; operations experience in the space preferred, including designing and implementing efficient workflows
- An in-depth understanding of the auto auction / remarketing segment of the industry and the role played by remarketers, auctions (physical and digital), transporters, dealers and other types of buyers and sellers.
- At least 5 years of experience leading automotive operations
- Inventory management and optimization experience
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
CA / Bay Area: $131,000 – $170,000
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
