The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution – from technologies and investments to supply chain, manufacturing and test operations, facilities management, and information technology services.
Administrative Associate II
This position will support the Operational Engineering & Planning (OE&P) team in the Manufacturing & Test Operations (MTO) organization. Operational Engineering and Planning (OE&P) is a team of Manufacturing Engineers, Planners and Technicians who support programs from design to delivery by providing the conversion of engineering requirements into the highest quality hardware to National Defense and Civil Space program customers. The organization consists of the Department Manager, 10 additional Senior Leaders and ~220 manufacturing engineering, planning and technicians that work in each of Ball Aerospace’s Boulder, Broomfield, and Westminster Colorado campuses.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the Department Manager and ~10 additional senior leaders with daily execution tasks including answering phones, managing calendars, establishing meetings, and keeping the leaders informed of unplanned events.
- Work with sensitive and confidential information and situations appropriately and maintain proper confidentiality.
- Perform a wide variety of basic administrative tasks:

- Maintain and coordinate calendars, schedule meetings, interviews.
- Greet visitors, interviewees, and customers, answer telephones, and schedule appointments.
- Plan, schedule and execute meetings, teleconferences, and video conferences.
- Prepare written documents, presentations, communications, materials and catering for meetings and presentations.
- Coordinate business travel and prepare expense reports for those you directly support.
- Coordinate employee office moves/relocations.
- Perform inventory, ordering, and stocking of supplies for OE&P and MTO personnel across campuses.
- File and retrieve records, folders, or other materials.
- Perform computer data entry, retrieval, word processing, and prepare presentation materials. Operate other computer software programs and various other types of office equipment.
- Maintain databases, records and spreadsheets, as necessary.
- Represent organizational unit in working with administrative policies and procedures.
- Learn and become proficient in Ball enterprise systems and procedures.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
What You’ll Need:
- High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 or more years of related experience.
- Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor’s or Master’s, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Extensive computer knowledge (Microsoft Office Applications) and high-level administrative skills.
- A customer service mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work with considerable independence and as part of the team.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple assignments concurrently.
- Demonstrated decision making based on knowledge of organization policies and procedures, and the program’s requirements.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning sensitive information.
Full-Time On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site full-time. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations will be required.

Compensation & Benefits:
- HIRING SALARY RANGE: $19.47 – $25.96 per hour (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
