Important Responsibilities:
- Oversee Dispatch functional area and achieve the expected project or assignment deliverables
- Manage a team of approximately 8-15 employees operation
- Oversee dispatch function, establish standard work, achieve material accuracy, and manage high product mix, 15,000+ sku’s and 2,500 finish good
- Work with vendors and suppliers to improve inventory turns and lead time.
- Work with large data sets and databases, and build analyses to drive process improvements and build actionable recommendations
- Analyze operational performance and dig into results to find trends or anomalies (NC and CA)
Accountabilities:
- Supervise Stockroom Clerks and Shipping/Receiving Clerk.
- Maintain an efficient work force by selecting, training and motivating competent individuals.
- Insure the correctness and timeliness of all transactions in the Stockroom, Shop and Shipping/Receiving.
- Reconcile errors as they occur to insure accurate inventory balances and costs.
- Conduct and participate in external and internal audits including the Annual physical Inventory.
- Support the meeting of production schedules by ensuring timely and efficient movement of in process parts.
- Responsible for the timely and efficient issuance and receipt of material in support of the Shop, Assembly and Test.
- Responsible for effecting revision control of operation sheets and drawings, and coordinating rework activities.
- Responsible for the packaging, storage and care of inventories.
- Responsible for maintaining traceability of all in-process parts.
- Adhering to the rules governing the handling, storage and tracking of government/customer-owned property.
- To highlight potential problems that could result in production delays and suggest possible solutions to the Material Manager and Shop Supervisor.
- Assure compliance to Moog procedures and legal requirements.
- Coordinate special packaging and shipping requirements for various unique programs.
- Maintain records of receipts, shipments, bills of lading, packing sheets, and shipment log sheets.
- Manage packaging methods and design of packaging when required to assure safe transit.
- Prepare and file all loss and damage claims against transportation agencies.
Required Qualifications:
- Four year degree with one to two years of manufacturing experience or a two year degree with five years manufacturing experience in materials and inventory controls or equivalent.
- Work Experience with leading or supervising role.
- This position require access to export controlled information
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years working experience, prior data analytics or consulting experience a plus
- Advance skill in SQL and spreadsheets (e.g. GSheet, Excel)
- Experience in SAP system implementation, LEAN, dashboards/visual
- APICS certification is a plus.
