Job Summary

Leads and manages strategic relationships with any business partners, both internal to Molina and external, by representing & promoting Information Technology (IT) capabilities. While reporting to information technology, this role also works closely in partnership with various Molina Corporate departments, including Physical Security and Service Continuity (PSSC), accountable for Business Continuity/Crisis Management, Investigations/eDiscovery, Physical Security and Protection Services Operations. Focuses on process improvement, automation organizational change management, program management of multiple complex initiatives and supporting business processes relative to the business and potential IT automation and improvement ideation. Program Management includes estimating, scheduling, costing, planning and issue/risk management and close relationship with IT Project Management Office (PMO) to reinforce and teach standards and processes.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Ability to manage multiple complexes, challenging projects simultaneously. Deep understanding of multiple projects and relationships between projects.
  • Expert knowledge of methods and techniques involved in project management initiatives.
  • Complete mastery of standard applications and project specific software. Able to learn new software with little to no instruction within a short timeframe and instruct others on its functionality.
  • Proactively assesses projects for potential problem areas. Investigates, develops, and evaluates solutions to a wide range of very complex problems spanning across multiple projects.
  • Formulates and directs the implementation of resolutions. Establishes processes, procedures, and tools to increase efficiency. Projects are generally Enterprise-wide and have moderate cross functional impact and team organization.
  • Ensures the Health Plans and business units understand the technology solution, overall solution delivery, compliance to IT governance processes, and architectural standards
  • Provides technical and process knowledge within IT across silos and business partners to support consulting, problem resolution/facilitation and effective intake and solutioning
  • Demonstratives management and strategic planning skills including delivery of key business initiatives, process improvements, managing SLAs and business communication
  • Drives efficiency, looks for, and documents ways to increase the efficiency through continuous improvement goals and process maturation taking into account budget impacts
  • Translates business needs into IT work product and or project requests
  • Assimilates and documents business needs project requests and benefit value documentation including high level IT requirements, compliance implications and cost benefit analysis
  • Demonstrates business process and/or functional knowledge
  • Maintains management/technical skills that can be utilized in the field to solve complex problems
  • Effectively manages business escalations within the IT organization by ensuring appropriate accountability, sense of urgency, communication and follow through to closure

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 PM course required.

Required Experience

4-7 years of relevant work experience in business, engineering or a related field in lieu of degree acceptable.

Preferred Education

Additional training in healthcare related field. Formal training in PM preferred. Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems.

Preferred License, Certification, Association

  • Certified Business Relationship Manager (CBRM)
  • PMI – Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • CSM – Certified Scrum Master

Pay Range: $97,299 – $189,732 a year*
