The Executive Protection Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, and oversight of the executive protection program at Lucid Motors. This position will have the opportunity to build a program that aligns with Lucid Motors’ vision of a sustainable future.
The position will advise the Head of Global Security Operations on all matters regarding executive protection, and ensure appropriate policies, procedures, and measures are in place to identify and mitigate security risks, and to monitor and document all executive protection activities.
This position is based in Newark, CA and will require global travel.
You Will:
- Design and lead the program to protect executives using a risk-based, data-driven methodology.
- Select and leverage tools to ensure persistent threat monitoring in order to identify and manage threats.
- Ensure the executive protection team exhibits the highest quality of professionalism, discretion, and decision-making.
- Working with internal stakeholders and regional teams to advance security assessments to ensure preparedness and smooth operations on the ground.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with Legal, Finance, and Executive Admin partners.
- Build and manage an executive protection training program to maintain high-quality skills and capabilities.
- Develop programmatic goals with quantifiable metrics to assess program health and measure improvement.
You Bring:
- 7+ years of experience providing protective services at a government agency, such as the U.S. Secret Service or the U.S. Diplomatic Security Service.
- 3+ years of experience providing protective services in the private sector.
- Extensive knowledge of protective operations, tactics, and procedures.
- Experience in the following:
- Leading an executive protection team.
- Working with and leading contracted executive protection teams.
- Interfacing with senior executives in the private sector.
- Being assigned to a singular principal/family, whereby building trust and respect.
- Building risk frameworks and using data to drive decision making for protective services.
- Managing compliance for disclosure and tax requirements.
- In a start-up or other fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (prefer in a related field)
- Security Clearance (or able to acquire in 3-6 months)
- TSA Pre-Check / Global Entry
- Defensive driving tactics trained
- CA Guard Card licensed
- Valid CA driver’s license
- Formal EP training (either from a LE entity, Military, or certified & highly reputable 3rd party firm/ school)
- Prefer: LEOSA certified (or able to acquire a CA CCW & exposed permit)
$131,000 – $187,000 a year
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
