What you will be doing

The Merchandising Data Services Analyst supports merchandising with timely, accurate and comprehensive item data to ensure readiness at retail to promote sales. As the expert in assigned categories, provide recommendations, and solutions for new business needs. Work in a team environment, learning from others and supporting the success of the overall team. In a data governance role, standardization of data elements is critical for operational areas across the company as well as accuracy of analysis.

This position will be based in Pleasanton, CA or one of our main regional offices (Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, Boise ID, Denver CO, Dallas TX, Chicago, IL, or Fullerton, CA, Phoenix, AZ).

Main responsibilities

  • Manage new item processing for assigned categories.
  • Maintain ongoing data accuracy and standardization.
  • Provide support for internal customers on item related data and system functionality.
  • Query and analyze data needs for initiatives and provide recommendations.
  • Manage product specific data needs for regulatory compliance.
  • Support ecommerce initiatives.
  • Investigate issues and perform root causes analysis.

The salary range is $58,900.00 to $80,960.00 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.

What we are searching for

  • 4-year degree preferred. 2 years of work experience in a related field involving data analysis and data cleansing may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn technology and develop a deep level of knowledge.
  • Must be solution oriented with strong critical thinking skills.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and be very detailed oriented.
