Partner Communications | Public Affairs
Since the beginning, at Starbucks we have set out to be a different kind of company, creating a culture of warmth and belonging and deep care for our partners (employees), customers and communities. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.
As an associate manager on the Partner (Employee) Communications team, you will be responsible for creating enterprise-wide internal communications that are clear, concise, and compelling. You’ll focus on communications about partner benefits, sustainability, inclusion and diversity, and community initiatives at Starbucks, and drive ways to land these messages in creative and engaging ways that support our ongoing efforts to deepen trust and belief among partners. You will also play a key role managing communications workstreams, building key messaging and narratives, securing the right digital content strategy for your plans, and escalating partner insights and opportunities to support teams and senior leaders. In this role, you’ll work closely with cross functional teams and senior leaders across the company, especially across our Global Coffee Tea and Cocoa and Social Impact, Benefits, and Inclusion and Diversity, as well as external communications, digital channels, partner analytics, events and legal teams.
We are interested in your unique perspective – and are looking for someone who will embrace this as an opportunity to create meaningful, high-impact communications that make partners proud to work at Starbucks!
What you’ll do:

- Support drafting, editing and publishing for companywide communications.
- Participate in cross functional team meetings and content brainstorms to identify ways to continue to improve our communications, channels and content
- Advocate for the partner perspective and land the right voice, tone and format for communications.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least 3 years of internal or external communications, ideally in a fast-paced setting.
- You have a passion for communications, social impact and building and fostering community inside and outside your team.

- You learn from your success, failures and from the experience of others.
- You encourage diversity of thought and gather feedback judiciously, and you know when to adjust your approach to gain alignment.
