The Application Engineer participates in the entire software development lifecycle, with a primary focus on evergreen support of existing software solutions requiring significant knowledge of enabled business domain, workflows, and processes.

The Application Engineer role is part of the Digital Core Finance team. It’s scope of work is to standardize Finance service delivery processes to deliver faster, better Finance processes in SAP S4 HANA. Streamline Finance service delivery and automate routine, repeatable high-volume tasks, standardized data enables the business to unlock value in advanced analytics, etc, and supports the enterprise with consistent data for decision making and improved functionality and usability as the in-memory database allows for faster analytics and reporting down to the transaction level and the Fiori interface offers improved user interface with the ERP.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Collaborate with external vendors during the Global design, configuration, testing and deployment of our SAP’s S4/HANA Financials cloud offering.
  • Support the standardization and optimization of processes and alignment with Finance, Hydrocarbon Value Chain and Asset Management.
  • Partner with internal and external partner teams to define and implement solutions that improve business processes.
  • Maintain highest levels of development practices and architectural guidelines including technical design, solution development, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution.
  • Work closely with the Solution Architect, Release Train Engineer (RTE), System Integrator and cross-functional teams.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and Enterprise/Data Architects to ensure compliance and meet our business requirements during all program implementation phases.

Required qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in SAP Finance and/or Sales Distribution modules application support and/or implementation experience for: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Managerial Accounting, Customer and Vendor Master Data.
  • Proficient English verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Understanding of SAP financial accounting, sales and distribution business processes.
  • Ability to understand business processes from a customer perspective.
  • A 4-year bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or applicable fields.

The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on his or her skills, experience, and qualifications. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll.
  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $112,000- $192,600.
