The Application Engineer participates in the entire software development lifecycle, with a primary focus on evergreen support of existing software solutions requiring significant knowledge of enabled business domain, workflows, and processes.
The Application Engineer role is a part of Digital Core SAP S4/HANA Asset Management for Data products and services, Mobile Work Order Management and/or Prometheus Scheduling to standardize the foundation for an enterprise-wide maintenance and inspection platform. This is a global solution that will allow the enterprise to apply predictive data analytics to real time processes and operational data to optimize maintenance and operations, improve Project to Operations handover, and use field workflow technology to increase time on tools, decrease desk time, and improve data quality.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Define Business Requirements: Work closely with the Solution Architect, RTE, Scrum team(s), business and IT stakeholders, System Integrator and Enterprise Asset Management/Intelligent Asset Management vendors to understand each business unit’s key business drivers, maintenance critical business processes, business KPIs and current functionality.
- Data Elements: Work closely with the Digital Core Data Architect and Enterprise Architect to develop a deep understanding of data required to configure and implement Enterprise Asset Management/Intelligent Asset Management globally.
- Solution Configuration: Work closely with SAP and System Integrator to ensure Enterprise Asset Management/Intelligent Asset Management solutions are configured to meet our business functional requirements. Ensure detailed stakeholder requirements are configured properly and comply with our Architectural guidelines and standards.
- Coordinate Asset Management configuration with other Functional ARTs: Digital Core’s methodology is based on agile and waterfall principles, we have currently three major Functional ARTs and two Enabling ARTs, this role will be placed within our Asset Management (AM) ART and needs to be familiar with SAFe methodology to be able to coordinate work effectively within the AM and cross functional teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in configuring and implementing at least one of the following EAM/IAM applications is a must: SAP, JDE, Infor, Maximo, Prometheus.
- Experience with data harmonization tools (ETL tools) and/or master data governance (MDG).
- Configure basic settings and out-of-the-box functionalities, Able to activate pre-defined reports and analytics. Troubleshoot simple configuration issues. Good understanding of custom objects, programs, and interfaces in their functional domain.
- Engages business partners to discuss system requirements – Able to map business data and processes to system configuration – Independently configure standard organizational units, master data objects, and business transactions for their functional domain – Understands the impact of configuration settings to business processes.
- Experience in deployment of new solutions and applications, including mobility solutions, training and support.
- A 4-year bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or applicable fields.
Desired Qualifications:
- Design, executes, and automates tests (unit, functional, UAT) in own functional area – Understands table structures and relationships, custom objects, programs, and interfaces – Ability to activate and generate pre-defined reports and analytics for business users.
- Knowledgeable in configuring APIs to integrate systems both on premise and in the cloud.
- Understand integration model between legacy applications through API and Non-API integration.
- Familiarity with and practitioner of Agile methodology.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure platform.

- The anticipated salary range for this position is $112,000- $192,000.
