The Project Management Director will manage our Asset Protection Division, Project Management Office leading a group of Project Managers responsible for successful development and execution of supporting APD’s business, inclusive of projects, integration, and change management. This high-profile leadership position is responsible for ensuring the success of our portfolio of strategic initiatives, driving the development and adoption of effective processes and tools, and building effective relationships with other leaders across the Protective organization. The leader is also responsible for continuously assessing project management processes and recommending solutions to optimize the use of the internal and any external resources.
Responsibilities:
- Manages project management team responsible for successful end-to-end execution of Asset Protection Division and connection to the Enterprise Project management group.
- Serves as deep subject matter expert on the marketing of project management discipline, providing a single view of its state and status in order to drive continuous improvement of this critical function.
- Partners across Asset Protection Division leadership to anticipate and understand potential challenges to project management processes and works collaboratively to recommend and implement solutions.
- Owns and manages the increment planning process (PI Planning).
- Designs and implements a regular system of project management reports to drive deeper understanding of project volume, output, and capacity.
- Directing and evaluating individual/team performance and taking appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards for assigned area(s)of responsibility.
- Directing and providing leadership to continually improve the capability and results for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Serving as a subject matter expert to direct reports and team members as well as applicable internal/external stakeholders on project management and business analysis best practice standards, templates and practices.
- Providing thought leadership, direction & organization on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability of assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Analyzing complex project and/or program plans to validate if project outcomes will meet the business needs and align/support operational plans/objectives and recommending mitigation plan.
- Directing and delivering complex projects and/or programs conforming to project management standards and processes as designated by assigned area of responsibility, including applicable change control and project management methodology.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in marketing project management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration in project management, marketing, or related discipline.
- Advanced knowledge of marketing processes and practices
- Proven ability to analyze and optimize marketing processes in fast-paced and dynamic organizations.
- Demonstrated leadership and relationship management skills
- PMP designation (or other project management designation) is a plus
- Proficiency in the Workfront project management system is a plus
$90,000 – $130,000 a year
Protective’s targeted salary range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees.
This position also offers additional incentive opportunities through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance.
