The FMPM team is focused on giving customers the best music experience available for free (Prime and non-Prime), while enabling those who want a paid on-demand music experience to convert to Amazon Music Unlimited. We build systems that are distributed on a large scale, spanning our music apps, Amazon Fire TV and Fire Tablet devices, web player, and voice-forward audio engagement on mobile and Amazon Echo devices, powered by Alexa to support our customer base. Amazon Music offerings are available in countries around the world, and our applications support our mission of delivering music to customers in new and exciting ways that enhance their day-to-day lives.
Our team is looking for a visionary Principal Product Manager – Tech with experience and desire to innovate, design, build, and launch new strategic initiatives that will be available across all devices. Our team is focused on giving customers the best mixed media experience from music discovery to music videos and live streaming to podcasts. You will have enormous opportunity to impact the product strategy, customer experience, architecture, and implementation of major initiatives focused on growing the Free tier (ad-supported) and Prime Music customer base, directly contributing to Amazon Music’s number one priority. In this role, you will be join a team that is responsible for the end-to-end customer lifecycle with a focus on growing customer engagement, ramping listening hours, increasing consumption of more media types, and improving overall customer retention. You will also be hands on, experimenting with new product changes that directly drive the Free and Prime Music customer base.
We’re looking for people who are passionate about innovating on behalf of customers, eager to lead and contribute to transformative launches, demonstrate a high degree of product ownership, and want to have fun while they make history. The role requires leaders with technical depth as well as strong hold on industry best practices. The role appreciates experience in growth product management skills (A/B testing, balance between engagement and conversion to paid tiers, etc.)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience technical product management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven ability to make smart features (customer experience) versus time-to-market trade-offs; experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and assertions of business value
- Experience delivering in a complex and fast-paced environment using agile processes and experimentation
- Experience with end-to-end product execution to deliver products customers love
- Experience with A/B testing and experimentation
- Experience in the Personalization space
- Passion for music

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
