Sr. Program Manager Culinary (Prepared Foods/ Fresh Bakery), Amazon Fresh Grocery (Seattle or Los Angeles)

This role can be based in Seattle, WA or Los Angeles, CA

This role will be in charge of developing new and existing partnerships with external foodservice providers in the Culinary categories and building project plans to introduce new concepts into Amazon Fresh grocery stores.

We are looking for a customer-obsessed Senior Program Manager with a strong track record of delivering results and proven project management experience to own and execute strategic, cross-functional projects within the Physical Stores Grocery Prepared Foods and Bakery Team. Prior experience in the grocery business is strongly preferred.

The role requires innovative thinking balanced with a strong customer and operational focus. You will need to scope new, ambiguous projects and monitor/track existing projects and processes. High judgement, ability to influence, analytical ability, exceptional communication skills and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Key job responsibilities

This role will be in charge of negotiating contracts with service providers, building project plans, and facilitating implementation alongside an array of cross-functional stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Proven track record of delivering initiatives from conception through completion of large-scale projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
  • PMP certificate
  • 5+ years of leading large complex programs experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a physical retail environment and/or in a grocery business

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
