Job Preview :
- Verifies accuracy and completeness of cash receipts and remittance documents (e.g. checks, cash, lockbox receipts) for deposit with the Treasurer Of State (TOS) in accordance with federal, state, and Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) regulations
- Compares actual amounts on remittance slips to actual and/or photocopies of checks
- Scans checks to various banking institutions for deposit of revenue into the state treasury
- Assures proper authorizations for deposits; reconciles, and resolves discrepancies
- Utilizes the Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS) to create deposits, bills and customer accounts
- Prepares invoice and deposit documentation for scanning into OAKS and reviews documents for quality
- Delivers deposits and deposit modifications to TOS and Office of Budget and Management (OBM) for processing
- Matches deposit confirmation slips to the appropriate payment detail report; enters transactions (e.g. ISTV’s, invoices) and submits for approval;
- Receives and records revenue (e.g., cash, checks, credit/debit, ACH); opens, sorts, and distributes mail

Qualifications
Completion of associate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field.
-Or completion of high school technical program in accounting; 6 mos. exp. or 6 mos. trg. in accounting or finance to include a basic level of experience in spreadsheet software.
-Or 18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include a basic level of experience in spreadsheet software.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
