A leading tech company is seeking a Services Project Manager. The successful candidate will oversee technical pre/post-migration tasks including provisioning, base copy, data synchronization, implementation validation, customer acceptance, and offline/decommissioning clean-up. The ideal candidate has experience in implementing network-attached storage (NAS) Data Migration Service Delivery Management (SDM). The company offers a great work environment!

Services Project Manager Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $85/hr
  • Worksite: Leading technology and data solutions company (Dallas, TX, 75254, Will travel to customer’s sites)
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program
  • 40 hours/week, 12 Month Assignment, Possible conversion

Services Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee technical pre/post-migration tasks including provisioning, base copy, data synchronization, implementation validation, customer acceptance, and offline/decommissioning clean-up.

Services Project Manager Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years experience in implementing network attached storage (NAS) Data Migration Service Delivery Management (SDM).
  • Service Now Change Management experience is required.
  • History of leading Teams responsible for weekend production data copy and infrastructure tech refresh activities.
  • Knowledgeable in organizing project staff focused on scheduling migration activity
  • Experienced in leading and directing technical storage administration resources.
  • Effective understanding of project reporting and governance responsibilities as relates to SDM functions.
  • Expert level understanding of network attached storage (NAS) technology including Dell/EMC, NetApp, and our platforms.
  • High-level knowledge of NFS, CIFS, MIXED data protocols and file data storage management services.
  • Functional expertise with NAS focused knowledge of DNS, VPN, AD, replication, distributed backup, switches, servers, firewalls, Linux/Unix, Windows.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of file based copy tools – rsync, emcopy, robocopy, IMT, Datadobi, Securecopy
  • High functioning ability to deliver data migration services by cooperative engagement with peer Teams, as well as Client staff – L2/L2 SMEs, SA, DBA, Project Managers/Coordinators, Change Management, Application and Production Support Teams.
  • Working understanding and responsibility for Runbook activities, adherence to execution processes, quality control, quality assurance functions and ability to direct compliant usage of technical migration runbooks, checklists & processes used to deliver data migration services.
  • Working ability to oversee Project Coordinator migration scheduling including supporting green zone acquisition, downtime negotiation, service Q&A and related activities.
  • Familiarity with change management processes including task-specific activities to support migration delivery
  • Familiarity with file content-based software-defined storage (SDS).
  • History of seamlessly executed migration processes ensuring minimal impact on production infrastructure.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively in an extremely fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work on multiple deliverables simultaneously.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and impact assessment skills.
  • Certified ITIL / ITSM.
  • Hardware – Dell Unity/VNX, NetApp ONTAP.
  • Software – IMT, Datadobi, Securecopy, Sanscreen, SMS
  • Excel – Intermediate to advanced level.
  • Able to handle a team of about 10 members.
