Nature of work – The Manager of Insides Sales for the Colorado Avalanche is in charge of training and coaching the Inside Sales team to hit revenue goals and help to give each representative an opportunity for a full-time promotion internally or externally. Also responsible for exceeding sales goals for the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rapids, and Colorado Mammoth.

Examples of work performed:

  • Train the Colorado Avalanche Inside Sales reps on how to sell with the goal of promoting them internally and externally. This includes not just teaching sales techniques and processes, but how to communicate and run a face-to-face appointment.
  • Create and implement Inside Sales strategies to increase revenue through season memberships, partial memberships and group sales for the Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rapids, and Colorado Mammoth.
  • Drive revenue during games at sales tables, distributing seat tags and appointments.
  • Attend career fairs locally and nationally to find the best available talent. This proactive recruiting model means this manager is constantly interviewing, inquiring, and selling the program. Expectation to always have a strong pipeline of candidates.
  • Create an onboarding plan for the Inside Sales representatives. This will include an extensive training course led by the Inside Sales Manager.
  • Create and prepare sales training focused on the six-step sales process.
  • Responsible for meeting with each representative on a weekly basis to discuss personal updates, goal pacing and training needs.
  • Responsible for giving consistent and constructive feedback to accelerate the learning curve.
  • Establish goals and incentive programs for Inside Sales representatives.
  • Research and implement sports industry “best practices.”
  • Monitor and report on the sales process and results to all Avalanche Ticket Sales and Service Management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum
    1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
    2. Minimum three years ticket sales experience. (Excluding inside sales)
    3. Ticketing system experience
    4. Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience
    5. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Preferred
    1. Some leadership experience/mentoring and leading training for ticket sales staff preferred.
    2. Archtics Ticketing system experience preferred.
    3. Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Compensation:

  • Base salary $75,000 per annum
  • Eligible for commission plan

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Normal office environment. Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity enough to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Requires mobility enough to travel.
