Job Overview:
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking an experienced healthcare professional to be part of ODM’s Behavioral Health Clinical Policy Unit. As the Behavioral Health Clinical Policy Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
- supervising staff in the Behavioral Health Clinical Policy Unit
- overseeing clinical policy for mental health and substance use disorder services
- managing the development and design of Medicaid Behavioral Health benefits, policies, and initiatives
- directing utilization management and Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA) policy activities in coordination with other areas of ODM
- leading collaboration with other programs and state agencies to ensure alignment with Medicaid coverage of behavioral health services
The preferred candidate will have passion for learning, collaborating, and contributing to the development of policies and programs that help improve the lives of Medicaid enrolled individuals with behavioral health conditions.
The preferred candidate will hold a license in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Chemical Dependency, Psychology, Nursing, or related field and experience in behavioral health service delivery.

Qualifications
Completion of graduate core program in business, management or public administration, public health, health administration, social or behavioral science or public finance; 24 mos. exp. in planning & administering health services program or health services project management (e.g., health care data analysis, health services contract management, health care market & financial expertise; health services program communication; health services budget development, HMO & hospital rate development, health services eligibility, health services data analysis).
Or 24 months experience as a Medicaid Health Systems Administrator 1, 65295.
