- Position Summary
The responsibilities of the Panel Assembly Technician I,II or III include but are not limited to assembling instrumentation control panels of varying size and complexity for the renewable and fossil fuel energy sector.
- Follow verbal and written instructions from the Director of Operations
- Manufactures control panels in compliance with the project specifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to change
- Follows and enforces all safety rules during performance of duties
- Attains proficiency in interpreting wiring and assembly drawings
- Proficient in troubleshooting issues with panels to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions
- High standard of quality and attention to detail
- Mount components to panels and enclosures according to drawing and client specifications
- Route and bundle wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards and company expectations for product
- Proficient in electrical tasks such as cutting, stripping, crimping cables, and selecting electrical components
- Mechanical tasks such as measuring, cutting, drilling and basic assembly work with a variety of electrical and construction tools
- Continues to improve personal knowledge regarding control panel manufacturing
- Able to use cooperative learning techniques to instruct technicians regarding specific projects that require multiple technicians
- Ability to integrate and collaborate with non-technical and administrative departments
- Ability to foster a collaborative energetic workspace

Requirements
- Full-Time hourly position requiring 40+ hrs. a week, overtime eligible
- High School Diploma/GED Certification
- 2+ yrs. instrumentation, electrical, and/or mechanical experience
- Working knowledge of applications such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
- Basic understanding of electricity and instrumentation
- Prefer multi-craft skills (Mechanical/Electrical)
- Ability to work alone or within a group
- Self-driven to completion of job
- Must have a strong commitment to personal and team safety
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and ability to multi-task
- Effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the team, customers, and external contacts, via telephone, in written form, email, and in person
- Ability to learn company specific applications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Familiarity in the renewable and fossil fuel energy sectors is preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to travel from 20-30%
- Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 25 lbs
- Ability to sustain a level of physical activity, including walking, climbing, bending, and sitting
- Good finger dexterity to be able to work and handle small objects
- Requires the ability to demonstrate regular and predictable attendance on the job
- Perform work in remote field settings and exposure to extreme weather conditions including hot, cold, muddy, and wet environments
- Valid active driver’s license and the ability to operate a vehicle
Salary Description
$20.00 – $22.00 per hour
