Facilities Coordinator – HYBRID

Position Summary:

The Facilities Coordinator arranges quality facility repairs and maintenance for all Goodwill-Easter Seals MN’s (GESMN) sites (retail stores, office buildings, and Services & Programs sites). This role assists in preparing pertinent documents, including GESMN’s Facilities Guide, Donated Goods Retail square footage records, store profiles, and helps with special projects including data analysis and report generation.

A day in the life: In a typical day, a Facilities Coordinator can expect to…

  • Property Maintenance Support –Coordinates timely and cost-effective property maintenance solutions between vendors and sites.
  • Property Documents –Creates and maintains standard Facilities documentation.
  • Special Projects –Supports the Facilities department with special projects.

About You:

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Understanding of floor plans, specifications, and operation of building components such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing and utility systems.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently to effectively communicate with supervisors, employees and vendors.
  • Proficient in various software applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite and using the Internet.
  • Ability to stay abreast of technological changes and trends.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Recognizes and acts on issues promptly and appropriately.
  • Ability to prioritize issues on risk factors and budget.
  • Ability to read and understand leasing documents and vendor proposals.
  • Ability and desire to provide excellent customer service.

  • Flexible working schedule including holidays and weekends.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License. Some travel required.

Prior Experience & Education:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience required.
  • Retail experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
