Job Summary/Basic Function:
To perform specialized human resource and administrative support tasks to maintain professional human resource functions; perform related work.

In-office hours are Monday – Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.

Level Scope:
Applies skills and job knowledge in area of specialization; may adapt procedures, operations, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment to meet needs of area of specialization; may work on non-routine tasks; resolves issues/makes working decisions within area or specialization or responsibility with minimal supervision.
Essential Functions:
• Facilitate employment processes including but not limited to: background checks, employment verifications, I-9 verification support, unemployment claims, and related verifications, etc.
• Create and support a welcoming atmosphere for all employees and applicants to Boise State.
• Support all Front Desk activities by assisting internal and external customers online and in person.
• Provides assistance to human resources or management staff.
• Will perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally to convey information effectively.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise tact when dealing with sensitive, complex, and confidential information.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to complete required Criminal Justice Information System Security and Awareness training (initial training and annual certifications).
Minimum Qualifications:
Some knowledge of: human resource management concepts.

Good knowledge of: administrative support functions including organization skills, composing business documents, compiling and summarizing data, and customer service.

Experience: interpreting and applying employment laws, rules, regulations, and policies.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Fingerprint rolling training through the Idaho State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification.
• Experience with or interest in learning how to read and interpret criminal background check reports and navigate various online platforms. Salary and Benefits:
