About Walmart Energy Transformation

The Walmart Energy Transformation team is a newly reimagined energy team that was created to ensure the team has the resources and internal positioning to deliver on Walmart’s energy-related regenerative goals. The team now reports directly to the COO of Walmart US and the Chief Sustainability Officer.

This new organization is responsible for:

Buying energy and optimizing for the lowest cost in regulated and wholesale markets. Meeting our renewable’s goal of 100% renewables by 2030 Increasing the energy efficiency and reducing emissions across our facilities Meeting our 2040 Zero Emissions goal, including transitioning our fleet to zero emissions vehicles

We are a team of seasoned energy veterans dedicated to realizing Walmart’s regenerative commitments and leveraging Walmart’s platform to support the decarbonization of our customers, associates, communities and suppliers. Because energy touches everything, we work across Walmart, particularly real estate, facilities, supply chain, network design, transportation and customer experience. We have come from across Walmart, utilities, developers, banking, clean energy consulting and environmental NGOs. We are innovators and change agents determined to make an impact. What you will do…

  • Business owner for software product for public and fleet charging
  • Walmart SME on charging software – spanning payments, Charger and EV OEM integrations, smart charging, V2G / V2B
  • Define and prioritize business requirements based on customer experience, business needs, and competitive marketplace
  • Coordinate software product development and integrations through internal product, software, data science, W+, Walmart Connect, and Auto Care teams

Data Driven Product Decisions :
Requires knowledge of:
Product and feature analytics; Data analysis tools and techniques; Research for analysis activities; Documentation procedures (for example, data logs); Modern industry practices and emerging trends.
To extract insights and promote the value of insight extraction from complex data analytics. Guides and extracts relevant data to drive effective product decisions. Demonstrates awareness of best practices in insight extraction from databases techniques. Independently drives product/feature analytics.

Driving Customer/ Client Needs :
Requires knowledge of:
Customer and business problems; Design thinking; Dependencies and impacts on product processes/ways of working; Journey mapping; Process optimization; Communication and influencing techniques.
To build and maintain consistent relationships with customers and proactively identifies customer needs. Creates scalable processes to gather and analyze customer experiences. Demonstrates a deep understanding of customer needs to make decisions. Designs and implements new, barrier-free processes. Coaches team members to improve focus on the customer.

Product Roadmap and Development :
Requires knowledge of:
Product roadmap development techniques; Roadmap presentation; Roadmap features and items; Project management techniques; Modern business practice (for example, Agile methodologies, Scrum); Minimum Viable Product (MVP) creation; Product development lifecycles; Product development concepts (for example, “Crossing the Chasm”)
To develop and own roadmaps across a complex product. Ensures and drives communication for internal and external stakeholders. Interfaces with and influences partners to secure resources and alignment. Mentors team members on product roadmap and development. Establishes product roadmap expectations, performance measures, and goals. Drives alignment of features for a complex product by navigating through organizational/ market constraints. Manages roll out and scaling (using an MVP approach) of complex products/features.

Product Vision and Strategy:
Requires knowledge of:

The annual salary range for this position is $140,000.00-$240,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

– Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

– Stock equity incentives
