Staff Product Manager – Data Platform (Health & Wellness, Stealth Project)

This is the opportunity to get in early with a stealth health & wellness project currently incubating in Walmart’s Store N o 8. At Store N o 8, the team will discover and deliver the insights that will power the future of healthcare for our customers, through the unparalleled scale of Walmart’s platform. In this role, you will own and drive the development of our data platform, including oversight of model deployment, identification and prioritization of features to power different use cases, and data life cycle management. Your work will support the 0-to-1 development and launch of innovative products that sit at the intersection of Health & Wellness, Data Science, and Retail Experiences. You will work closely with the core Store N o 8 team, and our partners within Walmart Global Tech and the Walmart Health & Wellness business.

About the role:

As Staff Product Manager – Data Platform , you will lead the end-to-end definition and development of the technical platform which underpins our data products across multiple use cases. You will oversee the roadmap for the data platform and its datasets, serve as the expert of the data platform’s architecture and capabilities, and coordinate across product teams to ensure it can support a variety of user types and applications. Your knowledge of business/user needs, as well as familiarity with existing and emerging use cases of our data, will inform the secure, scalable design of the data platform. You will work with teammates across product, data science, data engineering, clinical, and strategy functions to drive decisions and deliver on established priorities.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with leadership and cross-functional teams to define the platform product vision and strategy
  • Conduct market/user research, including with internal teams, to inform product requirements (including success metrics) and work with data science & engineering teams on implementation and testing
  • Manage the product development process, including sprint planning, backlog management, and product release cycles
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet business/customer needs

Experience:

  • BS in Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical field
  • 7+ years of technical product management experience with a focus on platform or data/analytics products, ideally in the health space
  • Experience with healthcare data, and familiarity with healthcare data security standards, including HIPAA regulation
  • Proven track record of delivering successful products from ideation to launch
  • Strong understanding of data-driven product development, with demonstrated experience in iterative development and creative experimentation to identify and validate hypotheses
  • Superb communication and relationship skills, with the ability to work with and present to executives, drive strategic decision making, and influence without authority
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to align product development efforts with regulatory compliance, business, and clinical value
  • Comfort with building and nurturing prototype concepts with high potential for scale
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Kanban, Scrum, etc.)
  • Success in an entrepreneurial environment, ideally within a fast-paced, high growth technology company

A plus if you also have:

  • Knowledge of machine learning, data processing, and database technologies
  • Experience in the healthcare or wellness industry
  • Experience in building 0-to-1 products in startup or corporate incubation environments

The annual salary range for this position is $144,000.00-$216,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

– Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

– Stock equity incentives
