GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE:

As the Influencer Relations Manager, you play a key role in translating the Ulta Beauty story into engaging and compelling content for our ever-growing community of beauty enthusiasts. Social media is key to our growing business and is one of the first touch points for our guest. You will work cross-functionally to marry all aspects of Ulta Beauty’s organic social media with the storytelling on our digital platforms, events, affiliate and mailer activations. Your goals will center around increasing community engagement, building brand loyalty and awareness and delivering a best-in-class social content experience for the guest.

You have results-driven experience in social media with a clear history and knowledge in earned, owned and paid amplification as well as experience with in-depth reporting and meaningful measurement. You are strategic and analytical, but also creative and guest-oriented- “part art and part science” with a passion for communications, influencers, building relationships and innovative content. You have a deep knowledge of the beauty industry, pop culture and social space and are adept in creating unique and engaging content, inspiring communities of social followers, and attracting new guests to the brand.

You will know our Ulta Beauty community intimately and creatively execute content, campaigns and social strategy. This person must be able to think of the long-term goals of the organization and understand the direct role each platform plays in our overall brand development. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Influencer Relations and will partner with other members of the marketing team and cross-functional partners every day.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Functions)

Influencer Relations:

  • In partnership with Senior Influencer Manager, propose and execute influencer strategies for Ulta Beauty that supports overall marketing calendar and priorities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with social and digital creative teams, affiliate, integrated marketing, and guest services to implement always-on, seasonal and brand campaigns and robust 360 activation plans that ladder to mutual goals and objectives.
  • Manage UB Collective strategy, partnership calendar, campaign briefs, masterclasses and day-to-day questions to build an impactful and authentic experience.
  • Execute day-to-day activities of talent and influencer contracts, negotiations, payments, invoicing and budgeting.
  • Map out influencer mailer strategy in partnership with Integrated Marketing, creative, vendors and/or merchants, taking into consideration various goals and budget.
  • Drive UGC content tactics balancing a growth-mindset with a Ulta Beauty lens to fuel innovative influencer content that performs via Digital and Social.
  • Support branded events, from conception to execution, included but not limited to concept strategy, creative ideation, attendee confirmation and internal creative management.
  • Partner with Social team to ensure influencer content is integrated seamlessly into social media strategy for both new launches and always-on support; organic and paid.
  • Ideate fresh and impactful ways to engage Ulta Beauty’s influencer community with a 360 approach to DTC, retail, press, makeup artists, dermatologists, social across multiple categories offered.

Analytics + Reporting

  • Analyze, review, and report on the effectiveness of campaigns as well as always on content pillars.
  • Build monthly reporting and presentations; identify, track, analyze, and measure performance against KPI’s.

Thought Leadership

  • Be a strategic thought partner cross-functionally as a resource to external teams.
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning, positivity and a commitment to quality.
  • Maintain authentic relationships with key relevant influencer partners, managers and agencies.
  • Monitor competitive activity and community platforms to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Track on-going trends in social media and influencer management, monitor competitive brands and innovative tactics for the future in influencer management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree, 7-9 years of influencer marketing, social/digital media and/or influencer affiliate experience; beauty industry experience preferred.
  • Beauty enthusiast with strong commercial awareness of the beauty industry
  • Ability to lead and develop direct reports, experience managing and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Adept in thinking like an educator and an entertainer, intuitively understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it
  • Both creative and data-driven mindset, understanding of influencer analytic tools and how to apply learnings.
  • Strong project management skills to coordinate with diverse teams and meet project deadlines.
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
  • Positive attitude, a thirst for knowledge, and an excitement for delivering a best-in-class consumer engagement experience for the Ulta Beauty guest.
  • Experience pulling influencer analytics directly from platforms; comfortable with Tribe Dynamics, Julius; able to pull, analyze and disseminate influencer insights and KPI’s.

The pay range for this position is $84000.00 – $142800.00 / Year with the opportunity to earn additional compensation pursuant with the Company’s bonus plan.
