Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the efficient operation of the kitchen
- Maintaining cleanliness standards through dishwashing equipment and sinks, polishing silverware, removing garbage, cleaning equipment and work areas including the sweeping and mopping of floors
- Assist in general food preparation for events

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
- Strong desire to work in a Christian ministry and has a passion for serving those experiencing homelessness
- Believes and commits to Atlanta Missions Statement of Faith
- Listens to understand where each person is at and find Christ-centered ways to develop their skills, both professionally and spiritually
- Able to encourage others with biblical truth and prayer
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of volunteers, clients, and staff
- Flexible with menus and meal prep and can problem-solve when ingredients are not available
Physical Requirements:
- Must have a valid Drivers License and the ability to drive a van
- Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position (stand for eight hours or more a day, sitting and/or walking)
- Must be able to communicate accurate information
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs
